Artist Statement

Growing up in New Mexico, I cannot remember a time when the landscape did not hold an all-powerful attraction for me. My work springs from this strong attraction and usually starts with a mood, feeling, or sensation that a particular scene evokes. The landscape embodies a combination of timeless beauty, mystery, and deep truth which I seek to capture and explore in my paintings.

For me, my paintings are a way to further my own understanding of the world we live in and to express those most powerful thoughts and feelings that are impossible to convey with words alone.

Bio

Born in Las Cruces, New Mexico, September 10th, 1967 and now resides in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
